Ajahn Candasiri (b. 1947 in Edinburgh) ordained at Amaravati in 1979 and was one of the original group of four women to establish the nun’s community at the Chithurst Buddhist Monastery. These days, she spends most of her time at Milntuim Hermitage in her native Scotland.
